    Once you realise this has to be wound up all the way to 60 minutes then turned back to whatever time you want to set it for, it works fine. The first turn is to crank up the coil for the ringer to give a long enough alarm noise. It came with no instructions, so I guess the assumption was that you have used a clockwork wound timer before, cos I think they all work the same. Anyway, with that lesson learned (in my case for the first time) the thing works well enough. Delivery was very quick.

      Loud ringer

      It's very tiny. Make sure you have good eye sight. (although numbers are clear when held close to your eye).

      Waste of money

      It’s supposed to be loud I can hardly hear it. Waste of money. We’ve gone back to using my softer alarm which is louder than the one I just wasted my money on. It’s not loud at all (rubbish)
