    Pleasantly surprised and satisfied. Better than I'd hoped for.

    There are 3 distinct varieties of product called Cinnamon, and Ceylon is the only TRUE cinnamon. The others are "cousins" and each has a distinctive flavor and each is different. The real test as I learned it long ago, is that Ceylon cinnamon has a sweeter, smoother and mellow flavor, it is pleasant to the tongue, and leaves a pleasant after taste that is sensual and inviting. It has an excellent flavor when mixed with honey that is very calming and makes a great pre-bedtime drink when mixed with milk. The Sri Lankan and Saigon varieties are different and are more spicy, even hot to the taste and they are known as Cassia, not true cinnamon. Ceylon Cinnamon is one of the oldest known spices and it was part of the wedding preparation of a bride in the ancient middle east. A bride would ...
