      a good gift for a Harry Potter fan and works well as a chess set too.

      I bought this as a present for an adult HP fan and can only comment on their reaction to it - they love it! Apparently, the pieces are weightier than they appear, so they sit nicely on the board. They also have it on display when not using it to play with. I was unsure about the "good value" question - it seems rather expensive, so I was glad that the person receiving it rated it so highly! I therefore hit the "yes" button.

      Cheap plastic lightweight rubbish at £50 - no value at all for the money

      I chose this chess set as it had unusual pieces from Harry Potter stories. Paying £50 for a chess set I would have expected decent quality pieces but instead I was extreme not disappointed when I opened the box to find very cheap light weight plastic pieces. Complete let down by the manufacturer. So disappointed.

      Fab chess set

      I was pleasantly surprised that this was such a nice set. I read mixed reviews before I purchased it and was a bit worried. The board has a lovely design and the pieces are large. The pieces are light but once you get used to that they are good to play with.
