Stops Smoothly
I was looking for some replacement pads for my Trek 7.5/FX and tried a different brand. They were no better than the ones I took off my bike. I had read so much about Kool-Stops that I decided to try them. First I contacted the company (who was VERY responsive) to find out which pads would work best on my bike. When I replaced the second pads with these, I was amazed at the results. Quick stopping with control. I'll buy them again when I need some.

Great brakes for a hybrid fitness bike.
I bought these brakes for my "better" bike a year or so ago, and couldn't be happier with them. They stop quickly, quietly, and without vibration. So for my "travel" bike (the one that I carry when I go for a trip), the brakes started to grind a little. So I bought these again for that bike, even though the brakes I took off had only been on for a few hundred miles. Same result. Love these brakes! They cost a little more than the bargain basement ones, but are thoroughly worth it!
