    Good product to create nano blackwater tank.

    I purchased this item to create the 10 gallon blackwater aquarium. It did colored (tea brown) and lower ph level (6.0) well. But what can I say, amount of this product is way small for 10 gallon or more. I have to use one quarter of this bottle in order to create blackwater.

    Good deal!

    This is a great alternative if you can't get your hands on full Catappa leaves for adding tannins to your water. The bottle actually ended up being bigger than I expected. That said, while this amount worked in my 10g betta tank to lightly stain the water (light brown, the color of weak tea), if you're aiming to stain a bigger tank or you're trying to get a nice, dark blackwater setup going I would recommend buying a few of these. Make sure you take the carbon out of your filter before you use it!
