    Awesome

    Squadron Supreme was writer Mark Gruenwald's masterpiece. It was a Watchmenesque tale that held to the common tropes of comic book storytelling instead of streamlining and elevating the form like the aforementioned Watchmen. There are recaps of every issue in every issue, but they only remind you that this story was meant to be read in monthly installments. I highly recommend this great story about Marvel's answer to the Justice League.
