Always use bags for joints,whole chicken or turkey. They work extremely well, save lots of mess, especially in the oven. These large bags are perfect for large joints or whole large chickens or turkey.

Unsuitable for temperatures over 200 degrees C
This product may be OK for cooking joints of meat but I wanted the Roasting Bags to bake sourdough bread in at 230 - 250 degrees celcius. The product description on the packaging revealed that the bags should not be used over 200 degrees celcius ... so they were useless for my purpose. Saves mess and keeps the bird moist
Oven bags are a wonderful invention that both stop the roast drying out and mess going all over the oven (particularly useful when you roast a goose). This extra large size comfortably fits a turkey.

Easy to use. I usually have to fold in half as it's a little bigger than I need but the smaller one's are not big enough. These are my second or third purchase. I love that it cleans the chicken etc beautifully cooked and no messy oven to boot.!
