Product Information

Playing SimTower, you are put in charge of the development of a mixed use skyscraper. You'll place a lobby, a garage, stores, office suites, condominiums, hotel rooms, and various support facilities in your building. You'll also build stairs, escalators, and the most important part of the simulation (according to developer Yoot Saito), the elevators.<br><br>Controlling the traffic flow inside the building is accomplished by determining the number, location, and run schedule of the elevators. The elevators come in three types: regular, service, and express. Only regular elevators may visit every kind of floor in the building, while service elevators may only visit those floors which have hotel rooms or garbage disposal units. The express elevators may only travel between sky lobbies and the ground lobby.<br><br>The interface is a tool bar with a set of drop down menus. The game runs inside a window on your desktop and will work with either Windows 3.1 or Windows 95. Though mostly an open-ended sim, the game's "goal" is to achieve a rating of five stars for your tower. This is accomplished by careful management of the tower and the construction of certain key elements at various stages of development.

    Sim Tower Review

    What's so great about Sim Tower: The Vertical Empire? As you read this review, keep in mind, this game is about 10 years old, so the graphics are going to be a bit 'dated'. But, that's what's so great about this game: it's simple and easy to play. Sim Tower is "your chance to build and manage all the complex...operations of a modern skyscraper." In other words, the object of the game is to sucessfully build an office building from the ground up. On each level you'll have to put in office spaces & hotelrooms. This game is all about balance: you'll need to carefully place your busy offices, with your hotelrooms, so each are not disturbed. (You'll know when the hotel guests are disturbed once they start seeing red - and they will, on-screen.) Do I put that coffee shop in the right place? ...

    Fun and Challenging!

    This game is a lot of fun and challenging. Plus always cool to stay on top of your tower with updating movies, building more recycling plants, and every time you get a new star, you get a whole new amount of fun things to build! This is when "sim" games were everywhere and were producing quality product. A must buy for any "sim" fan!

    One of the Best Sims

    Sim Tower: The Vertical Empire, is possibly one of THEE best Sim games. Simple. End of story. End of review basically. Sim Tower is better than Sim Isle, Sim City (original), Sim Farm (original), and many other Sim titles. Classic game that deserves much praise.

    Sim Tower

    I've loved this game since I was little and I still do. Get a 5 star rating and make or lose money based on how you build your hotel. It's a lot of fun with VIPs, Fires, Wedding Alters, Santa Clause and much more.
