      The Dreamcast VMU

      Not just a memory unit but a little source of entertainment after the console is turned off; the VMU was a wonderful idea that went along nicely with a quality gaming system that sadly met its end too early. The VMU supports a download feature for extra little games that can be played like a handheld system some capable of unlocking extras in the main Dreamcast games. Plugged into the controller the screen is viewable with neat extra features such as viewing inventory or finding hidden artifacts in some game titles. I highly suggest getting the VMU instead of the normal memory unit, though now they are rare or nearly impossible to find in stores as well as the Dreamcast games themselves it is still a must for collectors or remaining fans of the system.

      VMU was ahead of its time!

      Like the title says the VMU was way ahead of its time. The only thing that could've competed against the VMU was the Pocketstation and was never released in America. The VMU is still a interesting concept and honestly Im replaying the Dreamcast cause in combination with the VMU it feels like a next gen system. There are some great games out there that take advantage of this little device and the little animations of the game you are playing are priceless. I hope Sega reconsiders and releases a Dreamcast 2 in the future. Meanwhile im gonna play Shenmue, MVC2, Jet Set Radio, Tokyo Extreme Racer, SF: Third Strike, Soul Calibur amongs others.

      VMU!

      This was n is one of the best memory cards ever. It saves games and acts as a hand held video game device n on one of arguably the best console ever made (obviously Sega Dreamcast).
