The threads are a little tight to help with stability, but as long as you align everything right they fit well with a little extra push on the first time. I would love to see a future version with a threaded steel insert and would be happy to pay a little extra for something like that! Item arrived earlier than expected, so that was a nice treat.

Threading it onto a mic stand first time is scary, hard to tell if you are cross-threading it - threaded metal insert would be helpful.

Far better than the clip I have used before that made one mic bear the weight of the second and didn't always hold in place very well.

One note is that batteries were included in the blaster (which was nice!) but one of them was broken and had leaked all over the battery compartment. Not sure when this happened, possibly in shipping. It required some minor cleanup but otherwise not a big issue.
