  • beautiful book, but too small print in places

The book has one major problem in that even with x 3 glasses I cannot read the small print. Beautiful illustrations, well laid out, good examples quoted with latin names if you are studying RHS exams. BUT I am going to have to get a magnifying glass to read some of it. ( the section by the illustration and information panels.)I really do not know how they think ordinary people can read this tiny text.

  • Plenty information. Type size is too small.

A lovely book which is spoiled by the small type size. Why not increase the number of pages and enlarge the type?

  • Great book, a classic that you’ll return to time after time.

The RHS Botany for Gardener’s book is wonderful. It goes through enough scientific and historical findings without straining the brain, only enough to help support, gain understanding and enable retention of the more practical information about gardening. It is easily now one of my favourite books. It was very difficult to put it down after reading through some of the chapters. It’s designed to be read in any order too. A great looking book, well written and designed, easy to read typesetting and just the right size, not too big and not too heavy.
