    Not quite what I was expecting. in almost half the order the colours were repeated (not mentioned in the description) some of them there were 3 the same. This was disappointing, but perhaps not surprising given the cost for 30.

    Double-shaded but not close shades

    This thread is double-shaded. From the picture, I expected it to be two close shades, as you get in variegated thread. But the second shades on most of the spools is white or off-white. Otherwise, the thread is as strong as the reels you buy on the High Street and seems to be knot-free so far. Aside from the colours, this is good thread - if colour and white bands are what you are after, I recommend it. Regarding the colour not being as I expected: we quilters are a creative bunch, so I shall make it work for my project - but it will require a little more thought than I anticipated...

    Worst buy so far

    Sorry to say these's embroidery thread's are absolutely useless they kept snapping on a order no matter what I did very frustrating. Very poor quality indeed poor all round really only use would be to hand sew .

    recommended for freehand machine embroidery, I have found if you loosen the pressure to no 1 which is recommended for darning, with feed dogs lowered and use a tall tread stand situated by the hand wheel, keeping your foot pedal at a constant flow, you can get great results. I would rather the tread a little week than have the thread too strong, and risk needle breakage an maybe misaligning the tracking. well worth the effort as they have some lovely colors. A good buy for the price. Worth the effort.

    Good range of colours but less sheen than other products

    These are variegated colour threads which produce nice mix of colour when sewn. They sew fine with no breakage (so far). My only slight issue is that they do not have as much sheen as other embroidery threads I have used.
