The lens arrived on time and is exactly as described. Have put it on my D7200 and it all works OK. I have to commend the packaging though. I haven't measured the amount of bubble wrap the box arrived in but it was huge. You could probably have delivered it by dropping it from a passing jet at 39,000 ft and it would have just bounced. I'm saving the wrap to insulate my greenhouse next winter. Brilliant service.

This is the first ever review I've written and it might be the last. The service from gbr13 is as good as it gets; from the ordering process to the communications during processing. The item was exceptionally well packaged for a fragile lens . I've only just begun to look at the item I've received but at first sight seems to fully justify the 'very good' description for a used item. I'm very happy with the whole process.

    Excellent wide angle lens

If you want a lens that's of sturdy construction and takes very sharp wide angle photos then look no further. Little distortion at 10mm and gives an interesting perspective for more close up shots. I like landscape and buildings photography and I get so much more in the shot without have to stitch images together in Photoshop. Even works well for night time photography, got some good photos on a recent trip to Hong Kong!

  • Sigma 10-20 mm f/4-5.6 EX DC HSM with Canon EOS 50D

Pros: * very good image quality in the centre of the field, * good control of the chromatic aberration, * distortion controlled exceptionally well * good work against bright light, * solid workmanship, Cons: * very high vignetting in the whole range of focal lengths , * average image quality at the edge of the field,

  • Good value way to do ultra wide angle.

Seems to be well made but I need to use it for longer to judge its durability properly. Images are to be sharp for a lens of this price so it represents good value for money and provides interesting wide angle views of subjects. Fits nicely into the case so is easy to carry about.

  • Experience the advantage of a great wide angle lens at an incredible price.

The crop factor benefit of an apsc sensor in "lengthening" the magnification of a given lens is often given high praise. It isn't often discussed that this is to the detriment of a wide angle lens. The Sigma 10-20 takes care of this limitation by offereing an incredible value for money lens without sacrificing image quality. At 10mm, the apsc crop factor converts this to an equivalent value of 16mm when compared to a full frame sensor body. This lens makes such a difference. The standard lens that comes with most consumer crop factor bodies generally start at 18mm, giving an equivalent wide angle of 29mm. Now it becomes a lot clearer how much more can be captured in cramped interior shots or the grandeur of a big landscape. The only downside is that at 10mm, you're not far off a fisheye ...

  • Excellent super wide starter lens.

Fantastic lens for those wanting to experiment with super wide focal lengths. Picture quality is generally excellent with a fast and accurate autofocus mechanism. It is keenly priced and holds its value in the second hand market. On the downside it feels weighty and some have concerns about barrel distortion and unexpected softness between 11 and 16mm. Overall a decent superwide lens.
