Red Hot Chilli Peppers - The Uplift Mofo Party Plan
I've had the uplift mofo party plan album for some time on mp3. and never got round to buying the original. Even though I own most of the Red Hot Chili Peppers other albums, it was one i hadn't come across when CD hunting. Having had it arrive yesterday morning, it's all my family heard all day, and having spent the day reminding myself of it's magnificence, I have to say it's got to be the best album the "Chili's" have done with the original guitarist Hillel Slovak. I know some may argue, but I feel this album brings in another side to the "Chili's" that would show where they were going musically and mentally. This album shows that they were more than just a funky band playing with a punk rock attitude, and stands as a musical tribute to their late funky monk, guitarist Hillel Slovak, who ...
