Great thistle feeder!
If you love birds, you'll love the gold finches and purple finches along with the chickadees this feeder attracts! I love song birds and it's truly nice using this feeder with the Oriole feeder hanging over it. I get double the color, love those favorite species of birds and am kind and doing my part with preserving nature around me at the lake. The raccoons and morning doves eat the seed that falls to the ground so there's a benefit in every direction. This feeder is about 14 feet off the ground hanging from the deck. I put plants around it so everybody thinks their safe and in a natural setting, including the butterflies loving the bushes growing in the pots. Hummingbirds have feeders close too so it's a magical place this time of the year. Try it, you will love it!

Didnt receive the one as shown in the photo; bummer.
The feeder shown in the picture is not the one that I received. It does not have the brass-looking perches or sizeable holes for the birds to pull the seed from. The one I received was just a acrylic tube with 4 tiny little slots cut into them. The finches have yet to pull any thistle out yet. I was bummed as the one shown in the photo would've been perfect and the one I thought I bought.

All weather feeder
This feeder is sturdy! The tube is plastic but the top and bottom are metal so it lasts much longer than the ones that are all plastic. Suitable for year round use. Easy to fill and clean. Finches love it!
