About this product

Product Information

Players help three resourceful orphans work together to protect themselves and their family fortune from their greedy uncle, in this action-adventure game based on the 2004 film starring Jim Carrey. As in the movie, as well as the amusingly gloomy children's novels that inspired it, this Lemony Snicket game follows the notably unfortunate exploits of Violet, Klaus, and Sunny Baudelaire. Players will need to make use of each character's particular skills as they make their way through the game's 20-plus missions. In addition, they'll need to invent new tools to help them through certain situations, such as the bad-guy clearing Bopper, the sludge-traversing Stilts, and the rocket-pack Booster. Mission locations include, Count Olaf's Mansion, Uncle Monty's hedge maze, and Aunt Josephine's lakeside shack.

    Happy Customer

I had this game for PC before, but the windows it would run on is so outdated that I had to get rid of it forever ago. I just got a gamecube and I am SOOOOO excited to play this again. I can tell you that from the PC version I had the graphics are pretty good and the gameplay is decent. Overall good quality for when it was made and the fact that it was based off a not-so-good movie adaptation of a great book series.

  • Fantastic 1-Player Game - Entertaining & Challenging!

I purchased this game for my children. However, being the "good parent" that I am, I decided to play through it first! Ironically, this game can be quite enjoyable - as you get to play as all 3 of the children; performing various tasks and fighting against bees and bad guys! From creating inventions to putting together the clues; this game was fun and entertaining. I will be the first to admit, the movie (which the game is based on) didn't keep me nearly as entertained as the game did. For that reason I have rated this game as: 4/5 - Good. One of the biggest drawbacks for me were: the puzzle pieces. Once you have collected all of the pieces, it puts together a picture clue for you; however - some of the clues were so small it was difficult to figure out initially what they were. This ...

  • Cool game and story.

I remember seeing this story in the cinema 20 years ago. I played this game for an hour or more. It was entertaining and interesting.

  • ``Fun, hard, exciting, surprising and addicting! Can`t stop!`` The kids

I bought this product because all of my kids had been talking about it non-stop! I finally decided that they needed it. They told me it was the best game ever and wouldn`t stop playing! They told me to say I liked everything about about it but the only thing I don`t like is how addictive it is :D
