About this product

Product Information

AlphaCore, the world's first sentient cyber-organism, has begun to mistrust its human masters. Slowly, it begins to spread, expanding its capabilities into neighboring systems. By the time the horrified human population discovers its size, AlphaCore controls virtually the entire network. As it defends itself, the humans try to regain control but events suddenly escalate.

Eventually, AlphaCore declares war on the human population, attacking it with its own unmanned weapons and defense systems. As a result, desperate human scientists construct a time machine -- AlphaCore must be stopped before it achieves sentience! Discovering their plan, the renegade organism steals the time machine and utilizes it to return to the days of the first computer, ENIAC. By integrating its consciousness into ENIAC, AlphaCore hopes to become even more powerful.

There is only one last line of defense left: a super-weapon called OmegaBoost.

You must pilot OmegaBoost through a series of 19 battlefields filled with countless dogfights and enemy ships in an effort to stop AlphaCore from altering the past. From a third-person 3D perspective, you must pilot OmegaBoost through a series of nineteen 3D battlefields in a dogfight effort to stop AlphaCore from altering the past. Blast your way in all directions and then upgrade your equipment and weaponry after each stage.

Weapons include the Vulcan Gun used to fire in the direction you're facing without locking onto your enemies, a gattling-type pulse laser called the Complex Gunlauncher, a Homing Laser, and the Viper Boost -- a rechargeable weapon that causes severe damage to all surrounding enemies.

Omega Boost consists of a series of zones populated by massive quantities of enemies, sub-bosses, and zone bosses. Hidden zones exist within the game as well. In addition to the already mentioned Campaign Play, you can play through individual levels in the Zone Play or train under controlled conditions in the helpful Training Mode.

Not only does Omega Boost bear a similar resemblance to the Japanese giant robot combat-animé genre (like Robotech), but there is also a replay feature that lets you watch your accomplishments in the last level with cinematic quality. Additionally, the game is compatible with the Dual Shock Analog Controller and uses a block of memory card data for saved games and options.

This seller did a great job of packing the box. The bag arrived in perfect condition and it seems like I received extra photocards of Haerin which I was not expecting. Would highly recommend purchasing from this person.

    Excellent quality buy

Exactly how I remember the game. Wonderful piece of nostalgia to add to my collection. Came in the mail quick and secure. Hard to find games like this these days.

  • Giant mech suit shoot em up fun

One of my favorite PlayStation games and console games to date. Still holds its rank as one of the best shooter games like panzer dragoon. This game has a lot going on for it boosts, power-ups, level UPS, lots to shoot, lots coming at you very fun game.

  • A classic

This is one of the PS 1 games that is still worth playing nowadays. controls pretty simple and fluid. lots of variations with enemy robots. it's just that I've played this game back in the days using the ps1 unit and a standard def TV. I don't have my ps1 unit anymore so I played it with my PS3 unit and on HDTV i which the graphics are not that good when you play it on high def. lots of pixelations. to sum up, it still a nice game to play. I hope they make a sequel to it.

  • Classic relived

Old hidden gem of a game. Simple and fun, yet challenging. Worth the time if you're a fan of Zone of the Enders or similar style games.
