    Stanley Brush Cutter

    A good little machine, feisty and powerful. One thing to watch for, on starting from cold it's very easy to flood it and you'll have to wait a good hour or two for it to be ready to start again. The instructions are regularly berated in reviews and are not the best, but as these machines are for those with more than an ounce of common sense it's all very easy in essence. Overall a good mid-range machine and recommended.

    Disappointing for a Stanley

    Usually I like the Stanley brand for tools but I’ve had nothing but trouble with this strimmer / brush cutter. The flimsy plastic choke switch broke on the first day and it has always been very difficult to start. Can take up to 5 minutes of rigorous cord pulling to start. Once it’s started it performs ok and the combination of brush cutter and strimmer is useful.

    Machine is too heavy, hurt my back after short period.

    I found it very heavy to use. The motor was too heavy for the machine and effected the balance of it, plus after only a short period my back was aching, I had to stop. I'm only 5ft 4in and it is very long, if there was a way to shorten the stem it would also help. sorry I bought it.
