I am. a backpacker, large format photographer, and a senior citizen. Pack weight is an issue. I have acquired a kit of 4x5 lenses which all are quite light and all take 40.5 filters. Combined with a very light carbon fiber tripod, a light weight wooden field camera and multi-septum cut film holders, my overall large format weight is just under 10 pounds. Having found a 40.5 polarizer which can also be used a a neutral density filter is just perfect. Who would have thought that Tiffin would have produced such a gem, but, they did

So far have had only a couple of chances to use the filter on my Nikon 1 Aw1 11-27.5mm lens and it seems to do a fine job. I use the camera mostly on bicycle trips which require better weather than we get during December in the Pacific Northwest so I have not had much chance to use it (yes, I am a wimp!). Mechanics: The filter attaches easily to the lens and rotates smoothly. Optics: As stated, I have had little chance to make use of this filter so far. The 3 test shots I took did not indicate any detectable issues but I will know better after shooting in a variety of conditions

Have a lot of Tiffen filters great results. Just purchased this one for another camera. Great price for some really good glass.

This is a good quality filter that does what it says it will. The optics are nice and clear and it rotates very smoothly.
Works well
