An excellent machine for the price! Not the quality of Stihl but far cheaper & perfectly adequate for domestic use. Working weight (excluding scabbard & cable) 5.6kg & balance point just above upper handle = top heavy but much less so than machines with motor at top. I’m 1.88m (6ft 2in) tall & top of blade is at 3.34m when using shoulder strap. Holding bottom of motor & switch handle I can reach 4.38m but this is very tiring. With blade horizontal for flat hedge top, heights are 2.74m & 3.78m.

I wanted a strong, reliable one, and this is. Engineering seems very good. No clanking. Cuts well & purrs along. The main downside is that it feels exceptionally heavy/awkward to use. I thought it would be too heavy at first. Also, no instructions how to use the strap supplied and I can't find a comfortable way yet. Maybe OK used from a flat hard surface close in, but used on a hedge at the back of a sloping planted bed is really hard work. That said, I'll persevere and see if it gets better.
