(1987) Oliver Stone's morality tale stars Charlie Sheen as Bud Fox, an ambitious young stockbroker, who's willing to do whatever it takes to emulate his hero, supremely wealthy financier Gordon Gekko (Michael Douglas). Bud's initial attempts to play the market honestly don't light his touchpaper to success. But, when he passes on some insider information to Gekko, his career starts to pick up pace and, as he becomes increasingly embroiled in illegal trading and financial espionage, he begins to make the money of his dreams. However, he fails to fully comprehend the true cost of his deals until one of them threatens the livelihood of his union boss father (Martin Sheen). Also starring Daryl Hannah and Terence Stamp.
