About this product

Product Information

If you loved the Transformers: Prime cartoon, the Transformers movies, or even if you’ve never seen Transformers but you enjoy an action-packed video game, Transformers: The Game for Nintendo Wii systems offers hours of robot-shooting action. Based on the 2007 film by the same name, this Wii game invites players to jump into a world of mechanized shape-shifters called Autobots and Decepticons as they battle for Earth. It was first released in 2007, not to be confused with Transformers: Prime - The Game, released in 2012. The publisher of these games, Activision, set this Wii game up so you can choose between being one of the good guys fighting for what’s right for earth, or one of the villians when you play. Gamers get to choose between protecting the Earth as Autobots or destroying it as part of the Decepticon army in the games. The available characters to play as include Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, Jazz, Ironhide, and Ratchet for the Autobots. On the Decepticon side, play the Wii version as Megatron, Starscream, Blackout, Scorponok, Barricade, Bonecrusher, Brawl, or Shockwave. Just like in the Transformers movie and television shows, buildings, vehicles, and any other objects in the path become weapons as this Nintendo Wii video game progresses. You'll also enjoy the voice talents of several Transformer veterans. Peter Cullen is the voice of Optimus Prime, as he was in the original 1984 Transformers TV series and the 1986 and2007 films. Decepticon leader Megatron is voiced by Frank Welker, who also played the role in the 1984 TV series and 1986 movie. Additional well-known actors include Shia LaBeouf and Megan Fox as Sam Wiwicky and Mikaela, and Mark Ryan as Ironhide (he voiced Bumblebee in the 2007 movie), among many others. As one of the Autobot characters or a Decepticon like Megatron, you can seamlessly change from a sports car, helicopter, or fighter jet mode right into a giant robot to take full advantage of the characters' abilities and strengths while exploiting the weakness of your enemies. Head-to-head battles allow game players to engage in combat based on the weight of the robot, its power, scale, and special moves unique to the characters. In addition to playing the game as your choice of great characters, like Optimus Prime who is always good and right, or Megatron who is portrayed as a fierce gladiator, a massive array of projective weapons is available for taking out the enemy from afar. The Transformers game is rated T – for teens and older due to the amount of violence in this third person, action, shooter game. This is one of Wii’s one-player video games, though more players could take turns, challenging one another to see who gets farther in the game. Slip one of these Transformer games into your Wii game system and start crunching and smashing your way through the city and countryside as you recreate scenes from the movie. Feel the gamepad or joystick you’re using vibrate as you strike a blow for what’s right as an Autobot warrior and your projectile makes impact with the enemy. Or, join the Decepticons in the quest to conquer earth and point your Wii controller where you want your Decepticon avatar to go.

  • Transformer the game (Wii) Teens and up. Not for 13 and under. Too violent.

You choose to play either the Autobot side or Decepticons side robots to clear chapters, somewhat based on the story. Each chapter consists of several missions that are hard to clear. Once your time is up or couldn't meet the criteria of missions, you will have to redo the entire missions from the begining of that chapter which was a disapointment and frustrating. This game is for single player only. A little hard to get used to control the camera view which is linked with the pointer (up/down/sideways) of the remote control keep changing unwantedly as you try to fight the opponent in the game. You also need the Nunchuck to play. Overall, it is a well made, nice graphic game. It is just a little frustrating to clear each chapter as you have to clear all missions at once. I hope this was a ...

  • Tranformers the Game for Wii!

This game was a lot of fun for $20. The characters were realistic and were just like the movie! The characters from the game also had the voices from the movie. THAT certainly is enjoyable. I thought it was fun the way you can pick up things and throw them around, too. And let's not forget all the explosions, video clips, and art work! Another plus is being able to choose whether you want to be a decepticon or an autobot. I haven't tried the decepticon play yet. There are a lot of things that could have been better. The characters could have done more fighting styles instead of just one type of punch, kick, and throw. What also stinks is the difficulty levels. There are none! I must have been stuck on a level for at least an hour before I could finally proceed to the next level! At least ...

  • Sweet, but be careful.

This is a great game for transformers fans and just anybody thirsting to destroy entire cities with giant robots. The game itself isn't as bad as reveiwers on popular gaming sites make it out to be. The only really bad things about the game are the camera and the controls. Everything else is great. The graphics are sweet, the robot-to-car transformations are amazing, and the battles are super fun. The game isn't very long, but with duel campaigns and plenty of extras just waiting to be discovered, you'll have a blast running around the city (and reducing it to rubble!) Nearly everything is destructable. This game really puts me in the mind of grand Theft auto, only you are the car. So all in all, great game. worth $40, not $50.

  • Awesome game, but funky camera controls

I really enjoy playing this game, but since you cannot reconfigure the controller you are stuck using the Wiimote to control the camera which is very difficult. Especially if you get into close combat. If you point the controller up by accident, the camera zooms all the way in which makes it really hard to see and it is hard to pull back out. Other than that I love the gameplay and the graphics are decent.

  • Transformers, The Game for Wii

The game overall is great. Graphics are good and the different abilities of what you can do with the robots are good too. There are two things that I think they could have improved on the game was a better manual that came with the game and some more content to the game with some places that you could branch off of the main concept.
