Great game great buy
Great game. Definitely a blast from the past. One of my favorites as a kid and still love to play it to this day. Really wish they would do a remaster for the new gen consoles.

An ok title in the same vein as "NFL BLITZ"
"MLB slugfest" is just what you'd expect from Midway- over the top game play, funny commments from the announcers, and blasting home run hits out of the park. I bought this originaly cause I got a refund from Pay-Pal and had about $5.00 to spend. I remember buying this a while ago from a local game shop, but took it back because of a glitch(something to do with when the batter charges the pitchers mound and starts to punch out the pitcher. just one problem: the pitcher is invisible!) so far the copy i bought doesn't have that problem. there are a few gripes I had with the game,but they are mostly astetic matters like you can't change the jersey to the throwback version( when you select the team you get the jersey of the year when the game was developed (2002) it was nice though to play ... I suggest buying this if you like to have fun with baseball and not play for the stats. if you do play baseball seriously then buy MVP 200X or MLB 2Kx

A great arcade game and NOT a MLB Real Life Depiction
This game is NOT an accurate depiction of a real life MLB game. It is more like an ARCADE Game...and ITS A RIOT. I will agree it is NOT appropriate for little kids (under 13) as you blatently punch and spike opponents. You can BEAN batters too. The players are IN YOUR FACE unsporstmanlike. BUT if you accept that its JUST A GAME...its a RIOT to play. We have had it for years and are NOT bored with it. My teenage sons and I get a charge out of kicking back and outwitting each other. Also.. the commentary by the announcers is worth the price alone... humor so stupid it is hilarious.This game is NOT an accurate depiction of a real life MLB game.
