A must have for any Janet Jackson fan!
This is the video compilation for Janet Jackson's highly acclaimed Rhythm Nation 1814 album. 1814 is when our anthem was written and jokingly, Janet says she hoped this could become a new anthem. Coincidentally, R is the 18th letter of the alphabet and N is the 14th letter of the alphabet. This collection contains 7 videos plus a prologue and epilogue with behind the scenes footage and interviews. Before each video, there is a little behind the scenes footage. Janet's videos are both entertaining and captivating. Miss You Much and Rhythm Nation are taken from her film Rhythm Nation, filmed in black and white. Miss You Much features an amazing chair choreography at the end. Escapade is a whimsical fantasy excursion which is very fitting for the essence of the song. Alright ... Somber tone to the video, which is suiting for the song, beautiful cinematography. Black Cat is collection of clips from her successful Rhythm Nation tour. She lets her rocker side out! Love Will Never Do (Without You) is an airy, sensual desert escape, directed by the late Herb Ritts. Herb convinced Janet to show off her body since the rest of the Rhythm Nation videos she was very buttoned up and fully covered. This video also featured Antonio Sabato Jr. Definitely recommend this DVD for uninterrupted viewing pleasure.
