    Rubbish

    Got this to replace my Tamron 70-300 LD Di lens . The Sigma is rubbish compaired to the old Tamron . The Tamron beats it on both zoom quality and macro focus . However the Sigma lens coatings do render a better colour reproduction in the image but at the cost of fuzzyness and overall quality of the image even when at F:8 to F:11 . Though the Sigma does focus faster than the Tamron , well at least the camera thinks it is focused ? . I now have an expensive door stop . This is nothing more than a happy snappers lens that will keep the walk around holiday snapper happy giving good holiday snaps that will look good on an Asda print out , but if it's a walk around 300mm lens for wildlife / sport images then forget it unless you hold a degree in photoshop .....
