Easily their best; encouraging and witty.
Steve Taylor brings ample and much-needed direction in the production department that reaps huge dividends for The Newsboys. This is easily their best and while all of their cd's are a series of hits and misses, this one definitely delivers the hits. It is still their most consistent effort. For the non-Christian, they provide accessible and provocative lyrics worth further exploration. For the Christian, they are super-encouraging and even theologically challenging at times. Here they have matured and arrived. God is Not a Secret is a rocker that talks of evangelism. Take Me to Your Leader is a pop-rock song that continues along that vein, even with its strange lyrics. Breathe is a rockin worship song of sorts and its short redo at the end is a nice touch. The guitar work is ... Reality is pure keyboard pop much like you find on Going Public and Love Liberty Disco. Let It Go is an airy number encouraging the trusting of God. While immensely popular, especially in concert, the rocker Breakfast treads in unsettled seas. It's supposed to be a fun expose on the doctrine of hell, which might be problematic for some listeners. Serious subject matter is not really taken seriously enough, in my opinion. And songs #7-9 I simply could have done without, thus my relegation of this cd as being good instead of excellent. Lost the Plot is the hidden gem here. The stageshow for this song during the tour commemorating this cd was astounding visually. This song is packed with meaning and is a great discussion starter. Christians are often big on the beginning and the end, but often forget about living life in the in-between. It is a call to biblical living and is suitably confrontational. Steve Taylor engineers things masterfully here and his added wit is evident. While the band continues to lose its uniqueness as it loses its members from down under, this is still a formidable force in the Christian music scene. They compare with Audio Adrenaline and other such bands.

A Classic Landmark Achievement
This is the newsboys best album. Every track holds its own ground. A quick comparison with their greatest hits album (2007) will reflect the most songs came from this album but here is the interesting part: The remaining songs are better! For example, track 8 (my favorite) "It's All Who You Know" includes catchy lyrics with humour but with a real message. Describing 2 humourous hardships they still make the point clear-that we must rely on God to help us through circumatances. The guitar work here is unique reminding me of music from the first Borne Movie. You won't be dissapointed with this one.This is the newsboys best album. Every track holds its own ground. One of the best Newsboys' albums ever. At least 4 of the featured songs are still sung in their concerts, regardless they're 12 years old. For me, this and Love Liberty Disco are the best Newsboys' album ever.

Excellent Group
These guys are great entertainers, with great music. Very upbeat and fun to listen to. This CD was purchased to replace a cassette that was well used. All their albums are A+.
