    Gotta Have Tools

    These are the same as the set I bought off the SnapOn truck over thirty years ago, and not very easy to find in the big industrial suppliers' catalogs. The compact size and use of common wrenches makes them ideal for anyone working on old or nasty stuff.

    Saved from a Major repair

    This set saved me from a near disaster. Changed a steering box on my old Dodge Charger and somehow a thread got damaged on removing a bolt. Of course it was on the one that was hardest to access and inaccessible from the back. Tried to run a tap in but due to extremely limited access I was afraid of breaking the tap and damaging the threads further. Used the 1/2 -13 thread chaser in this set and was able to run it thru and fix the thread. Without this tool I most likely would have had to pull the engine and have a major pain repair

    Perfect for your SBC rebuild

    These thread chasers are much better option over tap and die. These don’t cut threads, they just run the rust, gunk, mud wasp dirt or whatever out of those key threaded holes without thinning or cuting your threads. I like to spray brake cleaner on the threads in the holes, let it soak and blow it out before I invert the engine and run these thread chasers. Seems to let the funk fall out easier, and I follow up with WD-40 or light oil to prevent flash rust until I am ready to wash the engine one last time before the build.
