I bought it as the closest available match in size and diameter for an octave lever pin on a pre-1930 Hawkes XX Century and found the stated diameter slightly less than the actual as measured with a Vernier caliper, necessitating filing: a minor quibble but worth noting if you need one for an instrument other than a Yamaha. That said, I was delighted to find the thread matched that on my 100-year-old Hawkes.
