    It does what it says on the box.

    I like the lower speed especially for polishing and delicate work, but at the lowest setting it tends to stutter. The speed control is smooth and easy to use. I bought it because my old one, a 395 model type 5, burned out the variable speed control causing full speed only 30,000 rpm. Bought second hand I had it for over 14 yrs so if this new one lasts as long I'll be happy.

    Great product.....when it you get a good version that works properly.

    I have owned and used this model Dremel before and it gave sterling service. However, when it failed i purchased this current one, as i have started to use it, a intermittant fault has arisen and because it is out of warranty there is no chance of a replacement.

    Great design flexible and essential tool for the craftsman. l

    This Dremel 4000 tool is light and comfortable to use in the hand for extended periods. The tool runs smoothly without vibration. The motor is powerful enough to handle loads place on it without labouring and shows no sign of overheating when used for extended periods. The Dremel has great design and is easy to grip and control. With the integral shaft lock and collet tool it is easy to change accessories quickly. Access to a wide speed range is made easy through the comfortable to operate controls located on the Dremel. The Dremel comes with a good selection of accessories useful for a range of tasks. The complete kit is provided with a tough case for easy storage. This Dremel is a must have tool for the hobby craft enthusiast.

    One of the best tools i have ever bought!

    As a retired motor engineer i have a vast array of tools, just how i ever managed all of those years without a Dremel in my toolkit i find unbelievable, so many uses, i find myself going back to it time and time again, A fabulous bit of kit, the variable speed is such a fantastic part of its uses, go buy one!!

    Dremel 4000

    This is my 3rd Dremel and have only just started to use it so I am hoping that this one lasts as long as my original one did, unfortunately the second Dremel the 3000 series failed very soon after starting to use it, but was out of warranty because my original had kept going strong. There is a large selection of accessories in the kit including the Flexshaft attachment which will allow me to do accurate close work whilst not having to hold the weight of the motor. The advantage of buying a replacement Dremel is that all my other attachments and accessories should fit it and save me having to start buying again on another manufacturer’s system.
