Having used many other chop saws over a larger number of years than I can admit I can honestly say the festool kapex ks60 is probably the most accurate and accomplished machines I have had the pleasure to use, it's very smooth in operation and controllable with a large degree of accuracy and a fine cut even with a coarse blade. The Gucci family slogan states "quality is remembered long after the price is forgotten " This is that slogan all over in the flesh. I am reminded that around 20 years ago I paid £500.00 approximately for a festool 55 plunge saw, it is still working today battered but still accurate and strong in performance there is a crack in the casing and I have had several rubber edges on the straight edge but as expensive as it was it is still good today and so useful in many different ways. My Kapex arrived next day and was spot on straight out of the box..... I watched a number of YouTube videos before buying and although very expensive, you are getting an outstanding engineered mitre saw. Only downside is the blow out so you will have to make and fit a zero clearance fence but there are loads of videos on YouTube that explain how to this. If you look for the New Brit Workshop and search his videos, he explains in detail the functions and how to make a fence.
