Does the job well
This tool is well made, easy to use and gives consistent results (repeated measurements of the same belt give the same tension reading). The only problem is that this tool measures belt tension directly while most car maintenance manuals tell you belt tension in terms of mm deflection after applying perpendicular force of e.g 100N. It's not easy to convert so I ended up using the recommended tensions in the krikit manual. So- the tool is great but most car manuals tell you tension in different units. Fortunately the krikit manual gives you enough info to work around the problem.

Very handy tool for checking correct tension on belts
The tool is quite handy to check that you have got the correct tension on your belts, as long as you know the correct torque value. Sometimes tension can be incorrect, but this could be due to how the tool is being used. There are plenty of YouTube videos available teaching you how to use this tool properly if you don't know how to use it. I would highly recommend it, a handy bit of metal, plastic and rubber that is useful, no matter what make or model of car you drive!

Easy to use, no more squeaky belts
After 20 years of guessing belt tensions on my own cars I decided to treat myself to a Krikit tension gauge. I wasn’t convinced but having just tried this on an MX-5 I can confirm it’s easy to use, even in small spaces. Highly recommended!
