The Resistance 2 Collectors Edition comes with the game, a art book, a bonus disk with a making of and other videos about the game, a special weapon skin for the online multiplayer part and a 5 1/2" figurine of a enemy from the game which is better than the usual figurines that come with other Collectors editions and is well detailed. The game itself is fun even if it seems to be harder than the first one in the series. It looks great graphically and has interesting weapons to play around with. My overall opinion of this item is that it was well worth the money. So if you have a chance of getting this CE and like console shooters. Go for it! :)
Resistance 2 was a great game and playing the first one. I can tell you that the 2nd one is better. As for the collector's edition, though I didn't get the toy figure that came with the original collector's edition but it's all good. I love the BTS and Video Development of the game that the Collector's Edition.

Resistance 2, The best human against alien FPS out there. Resistance, and Resistance 2 makes halo look like E.T. Resistance has a story arc that starts with an actual real life event. The 1908 Tunguska explosion! To this day no one really knows what happened in that remote part of Russia. What is known is that in 1908 an explosion a 1,000 times more powerful than the bombs dropped on japan, knocked over 80 million trees and destroyed over 2,000 square miles of that remote part of Russia. Resistance 2 starts in the 1950's World war two never happened Russia and Europe were over run by aliens. You are Nathan Hale only surviving member of 12,000 thousand troops sent to England to help fend off the (Chimera) who are now invading the U.S. and winning. In this game you travel to different states with your platoon doing battle in streets and rural areas. The street battles are some of the funnest parts of this game. The Chimera are vicious and unpredictable. The A.I. Can surprise you with different personalities for the Chimera. Some will shoot at you behind obstacles others will run at you trying to bash your head in before you can cut them down. The weapons have a real punch to them, so when you fire them you feel like you are doing real damage. Lesser games seem to only fire dots across the screen. The replay value on Resistance 2 is high. I'm on my third time playing through. The online part of this game is fun to. You'll have to judge that for yourself. I have found that online versions of games are subjective to each individual, because you are dealing with real people. And you never know what your going to get. I bought this deluxe package of Resistance 2 because I wanted the action figure for my collection. it also comes with a book with art and additional tid bits for the story. and a DVD with interviews with the creators and behind the scenes making of the game. Plus a peak into the graphic novel coming out. I give this game an 8.5 on a scale of 10. What I didn't like about the game was that you can only carry two weapons at a time.(Resistance 1 allowed you to carry all the weapons you found) Although there are plenty to choose from. It sucks getting in to a fire fight with 20 Chimera and wishing you still had the machine gun with the under mounted grenade launcher you left five blocks back. When you picked up the 44. mag. with exploding rounds. The other thing I didn't like about this game were the first ten minutes of the game consist of you following a another solider through a maze of obstacles while taking his directions only fighting a handful of Chimera. It Reminded me of halo, BORING! The rest of the game is great. You decide what weapons you'll use and how. You decide what tactics to use and when to use them!Read full review

great game, seller was awesome one of the best games for ps3. Resistance 2 is a sequel to the hugely successful Resistance Fall of Man developed by Insomniac Games released in 2006. The sequel is bound to be just as succesful. It consists of three parts, single player, versus multiplayer, and coop multiplayer. The single player is about 12 hours long and is just as good if not better than the first one. It ramps up in difficulty especially if you're not used to first person shooters. There is a new weapon selection now so that you can only hold 2 weapons at a time, making a whole new strategy element to the game. The only downside is they took out local coop for the campaign which I hugely enjoyed in the prequel. The versus multiplayer is not your typical run and gun Halo's. Its actually good. All kidding aside you can play with up to 60 yes thats right 60 people in Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch, Nodes, and Skirmish. Skirmish is the funnest with 60 people. It puts you into squads of 4 people and gives you objectives to complete while a rival squad gets the same objective and this is all happening on one battlefield. It has great network code. I haven't experienced any lag whatsoever. I love playing skirmish and is some of the funnest online matches in a long time. The third, and arguably the best, part of the game is the coop campaign. You can play as Soldier, Medic, or Special Ops. The soldiers job is to just kill everything in sight, the medics job is to heal the other players and, unlike contrary belief, the special ops job is to give ammo to the soldiers and medics so they can do their job. Stop playing spec op like youre a soldier! Yes you i know who you are, stop! This game is definately worth the $60 and if you have a PS3 you owe it to yourself, your mom, your cat, and even your crazy next door neighbor to go buy this game.Read full review
