King Of The Delta Blues Singers Robert Johnson
After hearing and reading about this musician forever, I decided I needed to hear his work when I started playing blue style ukulele. This CD presents his original recordings in as close to original form as is possible. Quite frankly, although it's great as a learning tool to hear the naked guitar versions of this music, it is not as interesting to listen to (in my humble opinion) as the numerous remakes of Mr. Johnson's work. He has been redone by the Rolling Stones, Eric Clapton, The Blues Brothers, and dozens of others in the years since his premature death. That so many other huge names feel the need to honor his work speaks for itself - It's worth doing over and over! But for me, maybe I'm too accustomed to the more complex electrifies orchestrations of Rock music, ... After hearing and reading about this musician forever, I decided I needed to hear his work when I started playing blue style ukulele. This CD presents his original recordings in as close to original form as is possible.
