  • Better than average but ......

The story description on the box is not quite right . They are not two alien races fighting on Earth . There is one attacking humans and the other just sends someone to warn us . But it is still a more intelligent sci-fi than average . It could have done with a lot less scenes of peoples 'feelings' , it made it more like a soap opera at times . A couple ot times per episode someone would get their feelings hurt and wander off camera to a secluded spot , only to be followed by someone determined to make them feel better . Then would follow a mawkish emotional display before getting back to the action . I could see it coming and got in the habit of hitting the fast forward button !

  • Remember Alien? Brought it home this time. Bad idea. Good time.

Haven't we all become so spoiled technologically?!! Like their head mikes? LMAO! We've become so...miniaturized & streamlined nowadays, it's tremendously entertaining to see the bulky "futuristic" techno of even 10+ years ago, what we "thought" the future would be. Heh, we had NO idea! I remembered watching this eons ago, and it all seemed so fantastic, so alien, so mind-bendingly futuristic! LOL. All in all, still a great sci-fi flick with a slick SETI & multi-dimensional twist (45 degree angle to our 3-dimensional reality). Some really gruesome icky scenes (don't even try putting popcorn in your mouth while in the alien dimension...YUK!), lots of Oscar-winning screaming--with very nice white teeth & tonsils :). Although I'd ...

  • Invasion Earth

I happened to catch this from time to time when it was shown on tv and I'm surprised it didn't last longer. Aliens (2 different kinds) are here on earth. One is trying to help us, but they use humans on earth, while the bad ones use dimensional travel to hop from one place to another. All of this takes place in England and if you expect a lot of car/space ship chases, it's not here---and I'm glad of that. The bad aliens use germ warfare to change/kill humans. I'd say this pretty realistically. And very happy that I bought it and can watch it again and again. To me, this is classic science fiction.

  • invasion earth

Sci-fi at its best from BBC. If you watch or read as much science fiction as I do, some themes seem vaguely familiar, like alien invasions. This series can stand on its own and has some very interesting inferences. Provoking in a mind engaging way. For collectors or buffs a must see. TV quality similar to 90's Dr. Who, if you are familiar with the series.

  • A story of challenge,determination,and battles lost.

This is a tale of Pyric Victory. The protagonists do not win in the normal way of tales of great battles. They are determined not to give in ,even at the cost of ultimate sacrifice. Now there is true and tragic story telling.I was truly and well entertained by this mini series.
