    More detailed version of "The Scarlet Pimpernel"

    I appreciate the details of the story, presented in 3 DVD's, although the overall effect is "darker" (more details of the horrors of that time) than the 1982 movie of same. It was interesting to see the 2 main characters (Grant & McGovern) portrayed by faces that were prominent in "Downton Abbey" in one season! [Well, McGovern was in the entire "Downton Abbey" show, of course, whereas Grant played an art dealer who was enthralled with her later on in the show]. Lots of swashbuckling going on. Good adventure + some romance too!
