This is one of many classics written by John Sullivan, and like several of those, 'Dear John' is arguably somewhat underrated, perhaps in the shadow of the much-loved 'Only Fools and Horses'. Based around a social club for divorcees, cleverly crafted characters (no one is a 'filler' here) and some wonderful lines really do make this worth a revisit, as well as an engaging watch (Kirk St Moritz, group leader Louise, and John are particular highlights). The situations these characters find themselves in remain prevalent today, but are handled poignantly but with humour. Very funny and definitely deserves a second look.

Great to revisit this quirky and "unwoke" sitcom. It still has issues relating to today but without the intrusion and piety of social media. Heart warming characters but none perfect.

Really liked this when it first came out. Humour of its time, it was nice to enjoy the writing of John Sullivan and the era in which this was set again.
