  • Lila compared to Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance.

    Of his only 2 books I believe the author thought Lila should be regarded as his definitive work. It's in the same vein as Zen and the Art of Motorcycle maintenance but it's slow, ponderous and more self indulgent. Zen carried you along the physical and philosophical journey in anticipation of the next page or chapter. Lila is worth reading (and thinking about) but not as good.
