    Simple but effective

    For Olympus photographers who prefer hand-held shooting over tripod use, removing the 40-150mm f/2.8 lens’s tripod foot makes handling much more convenient. The downside is that the naked lens barrel has several exposed screws that feel funny and—if exterior aesthetics matter to you—look a bit crude. This simple ring solves those issues, but it is a difficult item to find at retail. This item was reasonably priced, was delivered promptly, and is just what I wanted.

    I should have left the tripod mount on,

    It looks great, it fits, and tidied up the ugly studs visible after removing the tripod mount. Why not 5 stars? I am unable to remove it! Tried everything, but it won’t budge.

    Nice collar

    Well made and fits well. A bit difficult to figure how to install it, but once on it fits very well. Would have been even nicer if it was made of the same metal as the lens. I like having it on when using the lens handheld as the tripod mount is a bit cumbersome.
