This is my old controller and I had used it for around a year before deciding to move on to a more powerful controller. Comes with the original USB cable and Box, this works with Traktor Pro 3 and you will need to activate the License which is included via registering online account with Native Instruments Access, from there you can download the DJ app and other software that is also included. NO BOOKLET OR DVD INCLUDED but everything is online and I can assist if needed.”

Great controller, neat and tidy all round. Great sound quality. Easy to set up and the new software is better than the previous version by far. There are drawbacks though. Although great sound quality its not as loud as the mk2 version and the effects have been stripped back so you no longer have control of all of Traktor Pro 2 or 3s effects. It does have a small selection of on board effects but these are tied to the filter and very limited. The volume output was a deal breaker for me and i returned the unit because it was just too low. Its no where near as powerful as the MK2 version and although a fun controller in itself its very underpowered for an mobile DJ to use unless you live and hold all your party's in your mums spare bedroom or run this unit through a small mixer like the ... A great controller
I have used Numark controllers before with similar costs. This unit stands out but you really have to study the software and set it up correctly making sure all the preferences are set to how you like to work. I love the 4 FX buttons that are so easy to use with filter knobs for each deck. (You can set FX 1 to 4 with your own preferred effects in the preference menu)

As an entry to Traktor, the S2 is great!
Packs a raft of new features. As an entry to Traktor, the S2 is great! The design of the S2 has been completely reworked in the Mk3 and one of the biggest visual changes has to be the duplicate decks rather than the old mirrored layout of old. Also gone are the small jog wheels, replaced by brand new 14cm capacitive units. These feel superb but lack the haptic feedback and motorised features found on the larger S4 unit. We found the larger jog wheels to be a little slow compared to other controllers on the market too. The latency is fine but the amount of physical travel required to move across the track was more than we have been used to. The S2 features a beat grid adjustment mode, this button is found to the left of the jog wheel and allows the user to move the beat grid with the jog ... Packs a raft of new features. Traktor Kontrol S2 MK3 seem heavier and better built like its got more in it than ddj-sb3 for simalar size product.
