Famed British comedian Eric Sykes stars in his eponymous classic sit-com. The popular black and white series began in 1960 but the series burst into colour in 1972, and all 16 episodes of the first colour series are presented here. Hattie Jacques plays his twin sister with whom he shares 24 Sebastopol Terrace in East Acton. Neither are married and get into allsorts of funny domestic situations, with a good dose of pathos too when things go wrong. They are often visited by the local bobby Corky (Deryck Guyler) and features other special guest appearances from Jimmy Edwards, Peter Sellers, Joan Sims and Mr Jacques (aka John Le Mesurier).

    A Timeless Comedy Classic

    Rewatching old tv series you enjoyed back in their day, always runs the risk of blowing that wonderful rosy nostalgic bubble you cast round yourself. However, this series is still every bit as funny and lovable as it was back in the 70s. Eric Sykes was a great comic talent, and whether you remember this show or not, it is well worth catching at this price.

    Comedy Classic

    Sykes even when it's not that funny, seldom happens, is always entertaining. Eric and his identical twin sister Hattie, who looks nothing like him, are funny on their own but with Mr. Brown, their neighbour, and Corky, the policeman they are brilliant. This entire series is a winner.
