    Season 1 of the best crime producedural TV has to show.

    I bought the first season DVD set to fulfill my hunger to watch the series on my own time. Seeing as how the show is on a break currently filming for the new season, a once-a-week marathon is hardly enough for me since I work on said day. The Season 1 DVD was released back in 2002. Around the time a lot of other television shows has begun the transition to DVD. The presentation is NOT in aspect ratio as you may see on television re-runs or on purchases you may make on individual season 1 episodes via itunes or amazon, its in full screen. The quality also is lacking. Lacking meaning its not as remastered as re-airings of the same episodes nowadays on USA or any affiliate channel or the newer seasons released on dvd. The quality is comparable to that of a good quality full-screen youtube ...

    Law & Order: SVU; Entertaining, but a bit flawed.

    The casting and the plot of this DVD series are, without a doubt, deliciously entertaining and will keep you on edge until the VERY end. However, if you look at the timelines and the way the criminal system plays out, you may notice a few flaws, where reality and fantasy are obvious. Christopher Meloni plays a character who will bend the rules to no end, simply to get justice. If this were to happen in real life, he'd be unemployed.

    Was a very good show

    I love the show, & is nice & new to me to see this first season once again. The actors all play their parts well & it is always based on what is making the headlines in real life situations that are dealt with but a changing of the names & LOCATIONS, ETC. BUT I REMEMBER SIMILAR STORIES BEING ON THE NEWS. It has been a long time since I viewed these shows on TV, so they will be like new to me.

    The best show on TV ever!

    This is by far my favorite TV show as I had never seen Season 1 before and was delighted for the Special Features telling us about how Stabler and Olivia got teamed up and a view at what the office space was like. Enjoyed hearing about the photos on the bulletin board and a few other unknown things. Wish Criminal Minds had a special feature too as it was fun to learn about the background of the people and gave you an appreciation of the seasons to come. Wish it had been longer (special features) is the only down side!
