The lens arrived on time and is exactly as described. Have put it on my D7200 and it all works OK. I have to commend the packaging though. I haven't measured the amount of bubble wrap the box arrived in but it was huge. You could probably have delivered it by dropping it from a passing jet at 39,000 ft and it would have just bounced. I'm saving the wrap to insulate my greenhouse next winter. Brilliant service.

    Great standard lens with macro

    I have bought many lens but this is one of my favourites. It is very sharp, light but well built and a good standard focal length. The macro capability is what makes it special. Only disadvantage small aperture but with sensors handling high ISO values now not a problem. Also macro needs small apertures for depth of field. Also GREAT value

    An excellent sharp and light specialist macro lens for the Sony Nex cameras

    This is a lovely macro lens for the Sony Nex system. It takes superb macro pictures which are lovely and sharp in the centre. It can soften slightly towards the edges. Focus is quiet ( and for a macro lens) reasonably quick. 30mm is short for a macro but also wider than normal, providing you can get close to your subject you can take remarkable shots. There is no image stabilisation in this lens but being small and light it is easy to hand hold. Price wise no other macro lens can come close. Cons? Well as it is a macro it is a wee bit slow to focus compared to an ordinary prime lens and while it will take general shots and portraits its doe not excel at these - macro is where it shines.

    Fast AF, light and excellent value for money

    Really sharp lens for the money. F/3.5 isn't an issue for macro. It's light when matched with my a6000 making it great for hand holding out stretch when trying to catch that perfect, in focus insect. AF is incredibly quick but for 1/1 macro you have to get really close.

    Amazing quality for the price

    I am an amateur photographer so my experience with lenses is limited but I am astonished at the sharpness of this lens, even in lower light. It takes a while to auto focus but the lens has a manual focus ring which I prefer. The working distance is tiny so I'm enjoying experimenting with different subjects and the amount of detail I can capture. Would highly recommend for those starting out in photography.

    Entry Level Macro

    It’s probably the cheapest of the own branded Sony E mounts but for an entry level macro lens it’s exactly what I was looking for. Second hand it was a bargain. If you are a hobbyist photographer like me and are looking to take close up photos then this is a must.
