Easy to use
Very simple to use, supplied as a stick of putty like stuff with inner and outer layers that just need kneading together thoroughly then it can be pressed into whatever gap / worn / broken bit is being filled. Not an instant set but that does give time to position and shape before it goes hard. I used it to rebuild the damaged fan shaft in my circular saw and it did the job just fine saved me buying a new saw. JB Weld products appear to perform very well in comparative tests. I've used the PlasticWeld to seal butt-joints in lengths of PVC rain water drainage gullies. If using it on PVC it's essential to first clean the parts with methyl ethyl ketone (MEK) in order to provide a good key for the epoxy. Also wear nitrile (or similar) gloves to mix the product to prevent natural oils from your hands contaminating the epoxy. It seems to be doing it's job so far. Quite expensive, but probably the best product for the job I had, and if it lasts it will be well worth the cost - time will tell.JB Weld products appear to perform very well in comparative tests.
