Versatile and very quick to boil. Easy to use. I put it on maximum capacity for dispensing water then press stop when amount required is reached. It stops instantly with no dripping. Takes seconds to boil. I can also make custard and gravy. A bit noisy when dispensing but not an issue. Volume control on the top is fiddly and stiff to turn so I leave it on maximum which is the only negative thing..Design looks smart and water tank part lights up when in use. Good value for money. I really like it overall.

Stop button not attached properly, as coming away from its fixing points, just doesn't sit right at all.... Someone had tried to clean up the inside of item and dry it using a blue paper towel as bits were left inside water container for me to try and get too.... (not as easy as it sounds) but I did it in the end!! Could have spoken to my credit card company but it's a long process for less than £40 quid....

Don't know if I missed the small print but I was surprised t find out that the item was factory second and the manufactures guarantee was not applicable., having said that it works fine and boils very quickly, I love the fact that it has variable volume control, can fill a large teapot with a couple of goes and can also dispense a single cup/mug

This is a gem of water boiler. The large water tank means you are not constantly filling the reservoir up as there are 4 of us in the house who drink a lot of tea. The water is dispensed so quickly and is so hot it makes perfect tea or coffee. The variable dispenser means that any size of cup can be filled. The smaller version, of this model, does not have this facility. By only boiling just enough water for your needs you won't be wasting electricity boiling a full kettle just for 1 cup of hot water. The instructions that came with are excellent showing you 2 different ways to de-scale the unit, if needed, and how to use it properly. Finally it looks really great with the reservoir turning a brilliant shade of blue when being used. Just a small negative is that the power lead could be a little longer, but as I said this is a small negative. I would, and have, recommend to anyone to buy one of these, you will not be disappointed.Read full review

The Breville Energy Saving Kettle boils water in seconds and dispenses it into your cup without you having to pour it yourself. It can boil water to exactly fill a normal cup size up until a large mug, depending on your size preference. It is very easy to use. Just fill the kettle with water, press the 'on' button and that's it! The best thing I like about this type of kettle is that it rapidly boils the water in about less than 'half the time' of a normal kettle, thus saving energy costs. It is by far the best kettle that I have ever purchased!

When I needed to replace my leaking electric kettle I looked for one which would regularly boil just enough water for one cup of coffee (as regularly advised to do in this energy-conscious age). This seemed to be the best bet - and has not disappointed. It's very convenient to put a teabag or spoonful of instant coffee in a mug, place it in the machine and then get on with other things. 40 seconds later my drink is ready! When I need boiling water to cook vegetables I can easily remove the drip-tray and put t pan underneath instead, so while it sometimes needs more than one cupful of boiling water I don't miss my conventional kettle at all. Well-worth getting this slightly more expensive model with the STOP button for those ocassions when you've misjudged the capacity of your cup.

I ordered a VKJ318 but received a VKJ784 so I am reviewing a very similar product but not this exact product. Firstly the price. If I had been able to purchase it anywhere at the regular price, it would have been good value, but due to covid & that sellers are profiteering, I had to buy at a massively inflated price. The hot cup is actually really good for us. My wife has a disability in which she has serious tremors & with this, she doesn't have to lift a heavy kettle full of scalding water. We looked at those tipping kettles, but they seem to spill water all over the place, so we ruled them out. The design is good & the controls are simple. It isn't much larger than a normal family kettle, so that is brilliant. One fill lasts the 2 of us a full day. On the slight negative I would say that the highest fill setting is a little on the low side for a mug & the control is quite stiff. If you can find it at the regular price (approx £50 in the UK), then I would say that you have a near 5* product.Read full review

Excellent product and boils water quickly, probably more suited to single people or couples, if brewing for 6 or more, it does take time, but it does save electric by not boiling too much water, as in a kettle. Worth buying, i was dubious about getting this, but it is great, would recommend.

Replacement for one bought 5 years ago that had started to leak from the base. Originally bought as my wife has arthritis in her hands and found lifting a kettle difficult. The volume adjustment knob on top had broken off quite some time ago, presumable as it was regularly used to alter amount dispensed for different sized cups and mugs. As there was no replacement knob available managed to set it in the middle with fine nosed pliers and used it by either double dispensing for large mugs or using stop button for cups. The action even on the replacement is rather stiff so lets hope this one lasts.
