The lens arrived on time and is exactly as described. Have put it on my D7200 and it all works OK. I have to commend the packaging though. I haven't measured the amount of bubble wrap the box arrived in but it was huge. You could probably have delivered it by dropping it from a passing jet at 39,000 ft and it would have just bounced. I'm saving the wrap to insulate my greenhouse next winter. Brilliant service.

    A must for your DX lens arsenal

    It has no noticeable color aberration, very slight vignetting at the long range and seemingly no distortion. Provides excellent bokeh for portrait shots and is great for landscape photography. Focusing is very quiet and very very fast. Build quality is excellent. VR II seems to handle low light, handheld situations very well and outdoor long range shots, with slightly visible blurring of details, apparent during post processing. Minimum distance focusing at 1.1 meters is a bit aggravating though for some situations. Obviously, not a macrophotography lens. Very compact lens for the focal length it provides. A must for your lens arsenal if you own an APS-C Nikon camera.

    Nikor 55-500 Voom Lens

    Great value for money - easy to use and gives very good results. Just one small criticism - the manual focus ring has a bit of play which can allow the focus to change when I let go. The VR is very useful making hand-held shots at maximum zoom a doddle.

    Small,lightweight and has VR

    This a great lens at an excellent price. It functions perfectly with my Nikon D 5600.The focus ring is smooth and easy to use, and as yet I have not noticed any degradation in picture quality at maximum zoom. It comes with Nikon's extra year free guarantee, provided that you do take the time to register the lens with them. A very good purchase.

    The latest light-weight GII vibration-reduced zoom lens for DX cameras

    This is the latest light-weight GII vibration-reduced zoom lens for DX cameras. It contains an S-type focussing motor, and is suitable for recent DX cameras such as the Nikon D3300. Indeed is included as a kit lens with such cameras. This version is a so-called "grey market" product in that it is imported from Asia and not originally intended for sale by Nikon in Europe or the US. However, except that it does not have an EU or US Nikon guarantee, it is otherwise identical. I have no hesitation in buying such products because they are considerably cheaper than those sold by official Nikon retailers. The lens body is made from tough light-weight plastic and designed for amature use. The optics is made from good quality glass, and permits excellent results.
