Fragile Dreams is one of the most compelling games the Wii has to offer. It has unique gameplay, has motion controls that actually make sense to use, and are enjoyable to do so. Great voice acting, a story that keeps you going. It's a work of art, and the true definition of a Hidden Gem.

I bought this game some what on whim. I had seen a trailer before when it was still about to be released in Japan and I thought it looked interesting enough for me to want to play. It also peaked my interest because the idea behind how to use the Wii controller was somewhat new in design. Fast forward some time and I completely forgot about the game until it had been released in the US finally some months prior. I was feeling like giving something new a shot so I bought this. Also, my Wii was being neglected and this was a good solution. The game visually is good, at least for what you will get from a Wii that does not support HD graphics. The the cut scenes are even better as they are animated and the artwork that went into them was very elaborate. This game definitely felt a little more of a work of art than some other games. The controls weren't too bad. Sometimes the combat was a tad tricky, but you get the hang of it quickly. The rest is gravy. Using the wii remote to point the flashlight and search the area is no problem. I did feel though that game could have made more use of needing the flashlight. The story, in the end, was clever but not great. What was interesting though was that it kept me guessing until the end so that was worth the play through. A lot of games these days I usually can figure out the basic plot, but this one had a good way of keeping things hidden. It wasn't the best story, however, but it kept the game going. Would I recommend this game to a friend? Eh, it depends. Do you dislike Japanese games? Do you like games that are less artistic and more violent? Do you mind a game without multiplayer or fast paced gaming? Do you loathe a bit of exploration and searching? Do you like the Wii and its controls and lack of HD graphics? If no to most of those is how you would answer you might find it enjoyable.Read full review

Hands down one of the best games for the Wii. I had purchased a used Wii with about a dozen games, most being well know games like Mario, Donkey Kong etc... One day I decided to give this one a try and I couldn't stop playing it. Don't sleep on it. Worth every penny. I wish they had made a sequel.
