As a fan of Knights of the Old Republic, how could I pass the occasion to buy the Role Playing book ? The Knights of the Old Republic Campaign Guide is the perfect add-on to the Star Wars Role Playing Game Core Ruebook Saga Edition, for each fan of Knights of the Old Republic. This book offers to the player a new panel of races, new talents for the Core Rulebook, new feats and most of all a rich background that is the one of the Old Republic. Most of the new elements come from the Knights of the Old Republic game series (PC & X-Box)and Dark Horse comics, which make it familiar to anyone who played the games or read the comics. The main advantages of this book are that there are no "background" problem playing a group of Jedis (compared to playing Jedis during the Empire era) and some of the new races are really fun to play (Miraluka for example). The only things that may be missing are new playable classes (such as Sith Trooper, Sith Marauder or a real Mandalorian class) and more precisions about the background of existing characters (such as Darth Revan, Darth Malak, Bastila Shan or Kreia). These "missing" elements are minor compared to the richness of this book and I highly recommend it to people who want to Roleplay in the Knights of the Old Republic era.Read full review
Since I helped write the book, it came out fine. The book covers the Old Republic Era. Even though the Wizards foray into RPG and Star Wars was short lived in terms of years. They brought out a lot of great books. One of the great things about this book is really don't need the core rule book to play and its pretty straight forward.
