This was annoying, but in the end I decided to keep the desktop. The machine itself is excellent - removed windows and installed Debian and it is now running as a home server. The mini went out of stock after I had ordered and it was a bit cheeky of the seller to send a different machine without asking, knowing that a lot of people would not want the hassle of returning. so: good product but bad customer service.

Frustrating experience overall due to poor communication and carelessness on their part.
