Sent to eliminate a gun-running camp in Central America, United States Major Dutch Schaeffer (Arnold Schwarzenegger) and his commandos get more than they bargained for when they cross paths with a mysterious assassin.     " I never knew how much I missed this, Dutch!"

    Predator is one of the top 80s action films, hands down. It's a well told story of an elite fighting team facing an extraordinary enemy, unlike anything they have come in contact with, and ultimately the battle for survival against both nature and the unknown. The cast is great, with all of the actors fitting in place. There's never a moment of boredom. We get to know the characters who, despite their macho personas, show their humanity when the stuff hits the fan. The fantastic score by Alan Silvestri drives the film, perfectly complements the mood and atmosphere. The one-liners are pure classic. Predator is a perfect example of filmmakers taking their material seriously.
