More flex than I expected, but sturdy and for my purposes a little flex is useful. Go into moist soil like a knife into butter, but our soil is full of stones so impossible to get them in more than a few inches. In spite of that, they support a fair amount of weight without a problem. Look good, but it remains to be seen how hard-wearing the black finish is. Cheaper here than I've found anywhere else.

Have seen them used in other poultry keepers gardens successfully so I'm optimistic.
